Life has taken Kristine on ventures to New York and California, yet her love for Austin draws her back. She loves the strong sense of community here, and the faith she celebrates at Oak Hill Unites Methodist Church. We all love Austin in our own unique ways and for Kristine the places she frequents the most are Bull creek, The Oasis, SoCo, Zilker and Barton Springs. Kristine enjoys music and tries to take advantage of Austin being the “live music capital of the world.” Kristine enjoys a healthy lifestyle and Austin caters to that, with the food and local efforts in sustainability.
Austin’s real estate market has been luring in Real Estate Agents from all over flooding the market, and making it difficult to stand out. Kristine has overcome this hurdle by being completely dedicated to her clients to ensure a quality of service that sets her apart from the herd. This is why so many of her clients are attained through referrals. She is dedicated and isn't shy about being on call seven days a week so that she can always be reached by clients. Kristine says, “My clients know that they can call me anytime, day or night.” She is young, experienced, and motivated; always putting her clients first. Her advice for first time home buyers is to be prepared, and be sure to get pre-approved by a lender you trust. Also, because the market is extremely competitive you must submit an offer as soon as you find the right home. Wait even a day, and your home may be gone. Kristine says, “It’s truly a seller’s market.” Her advice for veteran buyers is to be sure you have a realtor who is a tough negotiator and be ready for multiple offer situations.
We've all witnessed the intense growth going on in the Austin area. According to Kristine, after recently attending an Economic Forecast, the Austin market should remain stable. She is anticipating expansion on the outskirts of Austin, and has seen a migration of long time Austinites moving outside of the city limits to avoid traffic. Currently she’s seeing land being the hot commodity in the industry. Kristine also noted that “The Austin Real estate market is hot! Inventory is low and demand is high. Prices have continued to increase.” The home buying season is upon us, and with Kristine Schmidt in your corner you can be sure that you're prepared for this bull market.
